21 Dec It’s the Most Wonderful Time of the Year!
As the classic Christmas song goes, “It’s the most wonderful time of the year!”
With 2017 drawing to a close and the Holiday Season now upon us, we at Cornerstone Development are counting our blessings because we have much to be thankful for. You thank the Lord that He’s given us all we have and we’ve had a very successful year.
We’re blessed with great surroundings and we’ve been able to build beautiful homes for nice people and we’ve created some great neighborhoods. In some ways, we’ve been able to impact lives so that friends meet new friends, families have new places to gather and new chapters in lives are created. For all of this, we are very thankful.
I feel that there’s a responsibility as a developer that when you create a new place you want to put the forethought into it so it works out for the people living there as well as the guests that come into that neighborhood. Part of this is safety in our neighborhoods and part of it is health and well-being for the people and the neighborhoods that we create.
So many times, people look at winter as the “dead” time of the year in the housing industry, but this year, with so much warmer, milder weather, we’ve enjoyed a “silver lining,” if you will. When the snowfall is delayed, it puts a smile on my face because it allows us to have continued productivity where normally that might slip.
I remember about five years ago on December 1st we had somewhere between 8-10 inches of snow and the next time we saw the grass was April 10th! That was a tough winter. As of December 6th, there was no snow in the forecast and it didn’t finally arrive until a week later. That is all a plus for us because we want to deliver homes as fast as we can because people are anxious to get into them.
Everyone is busy at this time of year but if you are a potential home buyer, if you can just step back a little bit and come out for a tour of one of our neighborhoods, it’s a great time for some pre-planning. You’ll get incredibly personalized service and when you come out you should be thinking about June, July or August as the potential time you will be in your new home, or even later than that.
That lines up well because almost everybody we talk to says, ‘Well, I still have to get my home ready’ and now is the time to start thinking that way. Get your home ready in January instead of waiting for the tidal wave of people who will be coming in for tours during February and March.
Speaking of tours, we’ve had some tremendous feedback about our model Grand Openings at both The Woodlands of Greenfield and The Villas at Maplewood Terrace in Sussex. We’ve had very positive reviews and we try to employ our learning from all of the homes we’ve built. We’ve built 350 or more and open, airy, bright and welcoming is what we try to create in every home. We’re told these two models fit the bill. Come and see for yourself!
(You can now take 3D Virtual Tours of both of these homes on our website, too!)
At Maplewood in the Cypress model, people are walking in and they notice the tree line and the Bugline Trail right away because it’s literally in the backyard. They often comment that ‘The home is bright and airy and we love this!’
We are getting the same feedback at the Aranview model at The Woodlands. ‘My goodness. I can walk out onto the deck, overlook the woods and I love this!’ Those are the types of things we love to hear.
I’d just like to say to everyone who’s come across our path through the years and those we will get to meet sometime soon, we want to wish you a very Happy, Health and Blessed Holiday Season and New Year!
Please stop by for a tour sometime or give us a call at (262) 932-4188. You can also see our homes in advance by visiting our website, www.cornerstonedevelopment.com.
