We will soon be announcing the exact date for the Grand Opening of The Glen at Cedar Creek in Cedarburg during the third week of June. This is the first phase of this beautiful countryside neighborhood and we’re going to have models that people can walk through. Our huge, beautiful clubhouse is ready and the whole site is turning into a neighborhood now, which is what we love to see. It’s truly great to have everything coming together so nicely.
When people come out to see these new single-family homes, right away they will notice how open and airy each home really is. They will see split ranch homes with a great use of space and light and a really comfortable setting. This is something we always try to strive for in each home we build.
There’s always a variation because buyers will get their new homes the way they want them. Sometimes you will see hardwood floors and others will choose carpeting. Another feature is ceramic tile or the new DuraCeramic, which is a luxury vinyl tile. Visitors will see lots of different, really exciting finishes and things that are out on the market right now and we’re excited to show it off.
Back to Nature
As people have been visiting our website, we’ve had many of them take advantage of our “CHAT” feature. One of the many questions we’ve been getting about The Glen at Cedar Creek is about the availability of creek frontage at our home sites. Our land goes all the way down to the creek and there will be several homes that will have creek frontage. However, those homes will be part of Phase III of this new neighborhood. It’s funny, I’ve seen many creeks in my life and I’d call this a river myself! But technically, it’s a creek and it’s gorgeous with a beautiful maple forest that you have to go through to get to it. It’s stunning!
This neighborhood is very different from the rest of our developments because these are single-family homes, not our usual ranch-style condominiums. However, there is one common denominator – you get a home site with the complete range of condominium services including:
– All landscaping
– Landscape sprinkling
Plus, there’s that gorgeous clubhouse I mentioned earlier. We’re so used to saying the word “condominium” that we have to catch ourselves sometimes when we’re talking about The Glen at Cedar Creek. So, much of the way it works is very similar, but single-family home ownership even by law is different. So that probably has been the biggest change for us. That, plus having no attached walls which a lot of people are excited about.
Two More Neighborhoods!
In other Cornerstone Development happenings, we are very stoked about two new opportunities that have come back to us as a result of banks taking some locations back. They are in very nice neighborhoods, too.
One is called The Woodlands of Greenfield, and it’s very close to The Glen of Greenfield on South 117th Street at Beloit Road. These are beautiful duplexes and we can build 24 more homes there. The land features a winding road through lots of tree-lined locations which make you feel like you’re out in the country. We will be building a model to use as our sales center but we are already writing contracts because people have been hearing about it and there’s a strong, pent-up demand. The big thing at The Woodlands of Greenfield is that we will have homes under $300,000 in that neighborhood, and they are going to be gorgeous. The price range will be from $269,999 up to the low $300,000s, and our model should be open in November.
The other new opportunity is at The Villas at Maplewood Terrace, right in the middle of downtown Sussex. Unfortunately, the gentleman that was building these homes passed away, but we’ve come in and are really impressed with the beautiful walkability of this neighborhood. We are going to build 15 more condominiums, and most of them are stand-alone. In fact, there are just two duplexes that have to be built, and 11 stand-alone single-family condominiums. We actually have seven different home styles that we will be building.
