06 Feb The Glen of Greenfield Update
Well, we are now full speed ahead in the summer season and I’ve got to say, we are really excited with how everybody’s favorite time of year is shaping up so far at Cornerstone Development! It’s been phenomenal, frankly. We’ve been selling our ranch-style condominium homes like crazy – including 12 in June alone – in our varying neighborhoods in Greenfield, Mukwonago and Oconomowoc.
In Oconomowoc, we had a grand opening for the swimming pool and people have really been enjoying it so far. To celebrate even more in Oconomowoc, we will be having a luau on Saturday July 9th from 3 -6 pm. The event will be catered by Saz’s and we’re going to roast a pig. For our musical pleasure there will be a steel drummer and a keyboardist here. The event will be for all of the owners at the Glen of Oconomowoc as well as for prospective buyers to help them get a better feel for the neighborhood. We’re crossing our fingers that Mother Nature will cooperate with a great day!
We’ve also had an exciting development on the media front as Cornerstone Development was the subject of a case study feature article in US Builders Review magazine. (Click here to read the article: US BUILDERS REVIEW Case Study )
We really felt honored to be featured in US Builders Review because it’s not something that happens for a lot of builders. They took great notice for what we’re doing in the condominium world here in Wisconsin. I would suggest that we’re the fastest and largest builder of condominiums. While we’re operating in suburban Milwaukee, there is such popularity for ranch-style homes that we provide that a national media outlet has taken notice. It was quite flattering to say the least!
People often ask me how things are coming along with The Glen of Greenfield (on 116th Street just north of Howard Avenue) and I tell them I’m thrilled because we knew we had a fabulous location to build the neighborhood. It’s basically in the heart of the Root River Parkway and yet it is so super convenient. What’s been so exciting is that we already have eight of the 26 homes sold and more are coming and we have nothing built yet!
The infrastructure has gone in and the roads will also be done very soon. At that point, we will start to build the clubhouse. It’s incredibly gratifying to have people wanting to buy new homes even though they haven’t really seen them yet. They’ve seen the floor plans and the surrounding environments.
Obviously, there are many great selling points for the Glen of Greenfield with particular emphasis on its location. You can walk one block to the YMCA or to the Root River Parkway and you’re just a few minutes away from shopping and many other conveniences. You can get down to the convenience of Highway 100 yet you feel like you’re living in the woods.
Once we’ve made a decision on where to build a new neighborhood like the one in Greenfield, we gauge the municipality to get their feelings about creating the neighborhood. We gauge the neighbors to see how they might feel about having another neighborhood and we do whatever we can to understand the surrounding atmosphere of a new location. We check not only the immediate surroundings but also the conveniences in the area and how close they are to the building site.
So a lot of planning goes into this process and now comes the really exciting part. The Glen of Greenfield is slated to open up later this year – and that’s not all that far away! If you’d like to come out and check out the location, you will see the land that has been cleared and shaped and where the ponds are going to be as well as the tree-lined areas that surround the neighborhood.
You can have the plans in hand and can lay out where your new home might be. Though eight of the homes have already been sold, you still have a great chance to get the exact location you want. And there’s not a bad location in the whole neighborhood. If you’d like to see how these new homes will look, I’d encourage you to take a drive to The Glen of Oconomowoc. They won’t be exactly the same but they will be quite similar. Pricing starts in the low $300,000 range and we are now offering an incentive to anyone who signs up with a free one-year membership to the YMCA for their family.
In the final analysis, what I’d most like people to know about the Glen of Greenfield is that we are going to bring high quality to a very convenient, beautiful city with all kinds of wonderful things going on. It’s the ranch-style homes that people are really interested in, not stacked product, side-by-side units. We offer the low-maintenance lifestyle just minutes from downtown Milwaukee yet you feel like you’re living in the country.
I hope you’ll get out and check out our neighborhoods. You can do so in person and you can also find plenty of additional information by touring this website.
Thank you and we wish you the very best with the rest of your summer!
